Lodge Information
Lindystock and Winterstock are held at the Wolf Den Lodge which is just a few kilometers west of Algonquin Park, 30 kilometres east of Huntsville and adjacent to the Oxtongue River. The Wolf Den is also only one kilometer from Algonquin Outfitters and a 15 minute walk to scenic Ragged Falls. There are several bunkhouses and cabins available at the site. Once you register we will allocate each of you a bed which will be assigned when you arrive at the campground. There’s a main lodge building where the dances will be held and shower and bathroom facilities at the campground. There are several transportation options to get to the Wolf Den. Check out of the Wolf Den Transportation site for bus (no bus directly to the lodge in the winter) and driving directions.
Accommodations
The Wolf Den has several types of rooms and cabins available for you to select when you register.
Dorm Rooms – These rooms are excellent for folks on a tight budgetThese are large post-and-beam rooms with high ceilings, each room hosting up to 8 people in single beds.
Main Lodge & Bunkhouses – These include small cabins, bunkhouses (private quarters in small, multi-user lodges with a private, outdoor entrance), and bedrooms in the main lodge. Guests staying in this type of accommodation enjoy the privacy of their own sleeping quarters but share bathroom, kitchen, and lounge facilities with others staying at the hostel. These rooms host 2 to 6 people per room.
ECO-CABIN – Cabin sleeps 6 across the road from the Wolf Den Lodge. Cabin comes with own kitchen (won’t need it as all food is supplied but nice for drinks, personal snacks etc), bathroom, living room, deck and close to the river. Each cabin has been built with a keen respect for the environment by using local, sustainably harvested woods, reclaimed materials, non-toxic paints and stains, and high quality insulating techniques and other energy-conserving practices..
