This Saturday Toronto Lindy Hop is hosting with Saturday Night Swing a “Jill & Jack” Theme Night-Dance the Opposite Roles
Details:
Beginner classes before the Party 7pm to 9pm, Charleston 7pm, Lindy Hop 8pm.
Teachers: Phil & Jasper.
Come and learn a different role for the evening!
Swing Dance Party 9:10pm to 1am featuring the the swinging 18 member Toronto Jazz Orchestra!
Conductor: Josh Grossman!
Guest vocalist: Sophia Perlman!
Theme presented by Toronto Lindy Hop: Jill & Jack!
Dancing the opposite or both roles is encouraged, but is of course totally optional.
Buttons will be available for those who wish to let dancers know what role (or roles) they are dancing that night.
Switching roles competition!
All welcome! Free Registration at the door! Contest will be taking place at the 1st band break.
Here is a brief overview of how it’s going to work.
1. You will signup as an individual (not as a lead or follow role)
2. Participants will be judged on both roles and will get to dance both roles with each person they’re matched with
3. the winners will be individuals, not couples (so the top 3 people who danced both roles best)
Cost: Party $18, $20 with one class, $22 with both, $3 off for full-time students.
