Beaches International Jazz Festival STREETFEST Begins (of 3 nights).
Showcasing the finest in Big Band, Swing, Dixieland, Smooth, Afro-Cuban, Fusion, Funk, R&B, Ska and Soul sounds that Toronto has to offer. Over forty Canadian bands entertain you along a closed to traffic 2.5 km stretch of Queen Street East.
Location: Queen Street East located between Woodbine Avenue to the west and Beech Avenue to the east.
Time: 7pm-11pm

***FRIDAY: NYC The Hot Sardines are in town to play for the Pan Am Games and you can see them FREE (and with dancing space) at the CIBC Pan Am Park (CNE grounds).
Time: 7:15pm till I’m assuming around 8:30pm

AFTER your done at the Hot Sardines head over to the Gladstone hotel (DOWN THE STREET) for the:
“GTA Swing Band Vintage Spectacular Dance” in conjunction with Lindy Hop Revolution
This HUGE Big Band is amazing and play all the songs you loved from the swing era (last event they kept the dance floor filled with dancers all night long).
