THURSDAY: Swing Dancing at Beaches Jazz Festival-Streetfest. Various Bands (Dancers DO Attend this Festival on the Thursday when it’s less busy-They are meeting at 7pm at the Firehouse (address on the website) and some are meeting at the East End at Balmy beach Club. Pick what works for you)
This Event Runs July 26th, 27th, 28th. StreetFest is a Beaches International Jazz Festival signature event showcasing the finest in Big Band, Swing, Dixieland, Smooth, Afro-Cuban, Fusion, Funk, R&B, Ska and Soul sounds that Toronto has to offer. This season over 45 bands will entertain you along a closed to traffic 2.5 km stretch of Queen Street East located between Woodbine Avenue to the west and Beech Avenue to the east between 6pm and 11pm each night. It’s an annual pilgrimage for tens of thousands of music enthusiasts who flock to the street on Thursday, Friday and Saturday during this final Festival weekend, to groove to the music, swing to the sounds and soak in the street scene and ambience. Each Band plays 4 half-hour sets from 6pm to 11pm nightly. Performance times are staggered between adjoining bands to maximize listening pleasure!

Toronto Lindy Hop Events Open for Registration
Lindystock 2018-August 3rd to August 6th. Registration is Open and Spots are super limited (snag what is remaining)
About: Each summer dancers head north to the borders of historic Algonquin Park near Huntsville, Ontario for Lindystock. Lindystock is a dance event held in a wilderness setting with the comforts of a lodge, bunkhouses and so much more. Food, beds, bedding, kitchen, indoor and outdoor bathrooms and showers, kitchen, lounge and sauna will await you when you return from hiking, canoeing, swimming and of course dancing. And bring your instruments and talents for the Variety show and nightly campfires.
